Evaluation

Jourdan is an athletic, L/L, outfielder with some projection remaining in his body. An athletic frame with room to add strength and very crude baseball skills presently. Offensively Jourdan shows excellent bat to ball skills with a very direct path straight to the ball. Tends to dive to the ball and some mechanical adjustments will be necessary to allow him to generate some more bat speed and impact the ball with some more consistency. Swing itself is low maintenance with good barrel accuracy and ability to use entire field. Very little power to speak of presently due to need more mechanical adjustments and needed strength gains tho should be projected to have some pull side power as he matures and develops. Advanced hand-eye coordination will give him a chance. Will be a future average runner (7.9 60 but shut down early), not a burner but easy strides and will continue to improve as he gets stronger. Defensively, still needs work but in tune with the game, can make the routine plays, and may run just enough to provide value all over the outfield. Jourdan has a bit of a longer, slinging arm action. Accurate throws to his targets but just needs to continue developing arm strength. Not going to be a cannon but should develop enough arm strength to play at all 3 OF positions. Like the bat to ball skills to give him a chance to hit and project him to be a D3 type potential recruit if he is able to continue developing.
